From expressionism to the New Objectivity. Avantegardes in Germany

The exhibition features 40 works of the main representatives of this cultural and art trend, from Ernest Ludwig Kirchner to Emil Nolde, from Alexei Jawlensky to August Macke, from Vassilj Kandinskij to Franz Marc, which developed in Germany during the first years of the 20th century.

The visit to the exhibition begins with some masterpieces from the circle of artists of Die Brücke in Dresda, Der Blaue Reiter of Monaco and of Der Sturm, the art magazine from Berlin, then goes on to the first years after the War, during which a new aesthetic vision dawned, represented by the New objectivity movement.

40 works of the main representatives of this cultural and art trend, which developed in Germany during the first years of the 20th century, from the Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal (Germany), which hosts one of the most massive collections of the German Expressionism and of the artistic trends of the years right after the First World war, as the New objectivity (Neue Sachlichkeit) and the different forms of Construttivism and Rationalism.
