Situated among centuries old chestnut woods in the valley of the Cenendola river, Bore is nowadays a holiday resort.
The town grew up along one of the oldest sections of the Pilgrims' Way to Rome.
Many excursions can be made across the old chestnut woods to reach by instance the small medieval town of Pozzolo or the 16th century oratory of San Rocco.Characteristic of this municipality is a widespread network of medieval villas, self-sufficient rural villages constructed in a way that resulted in a fortified structure.  Monuments of interest include the Marazzi Villa, a fortified rural court, and the Oratory of San Rocco in the town of Metti.

Weekly market: third Wednesday of the month.
